Porthleven Food Festival – a Cornish Favourite…..

The Food Festival at Porthleven has been running for some seven years now and will once again be officially opened in 2017 by the Festival Patron and ‘foodie’ Legend Antony Worall Thompson, who will also be on stage with his always testing and tasty ‘Ready Steady Cook’ Festival ‘Cook-Off’ Challenge.

showing off

There’s Cookery legends galore at the show, including the unique and always TV favourite Rick Stein, with Jack Stein on hand too. The Stein duo, of course, now have their own local eaterie actually in Porthleven and they will be ‘showing off’ some very special dishes set to ‘star’ in their up and coming new TV series.

Craft stalls, Live Music and even a Film Festival too! Looks like a Foodie diary date not to be missed. The 2016 Porthleven festival last year was the most successful event to date and saw visitor numbers soar over 40,000. Check out the highlights on the video here –

Food Festival utopia down Funkirk Farm way!

Go North in July 2017 for the very excellent Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival, which is going to Funkirk Farm, near Skipton this time round.

star of the show!

Popular Yorkshire Born TV personality chef James Martin is the Patron and  he will be the Star of the Show on the Saturday. John Torode another very familiar TV chef is the Sunday ‘star turn’.

He, of course, made his name on the Richard and Judy ‘This Morning’ Show and also on Master Chef.   He was a regular in the BBC1 Saturday Kitchen. A major attraction at the Show for sure will be a special demonstration area for talented local chefs to show off their mastery and skills.

Says the Dales’ Festival web site – “Our aim is to promote the ‘Field to Fork’ ethos showcasing the finest food, drink & chefs principally from the Yorkshire Dales region. The festival is a combination of over 250 traders selling the best of regional and national produce.”

The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival is organised by Events By B3 Ltd, a local Events and Creative Management Agency. A fantastic foodie heaven for families and friends, The Dales ‘gig’ is for sure certain to be a great day out. To find out more about Events By B3 Ltd visit and also please
