Butlins next ‘hot’  Live music  weekend occasion ‘revs up’ this weekend down in Somerset at what is  known as the ‘Shiine On’ Weekender – and its a sellout at the Butlins Minehead Arena!

Star attractions are Echo and the Bunnymen and Shed Seven ..backed by a wealth of attractive names, with wide, comprehensive musical appeal – that’s how we at QuotroFest saw the performing ‘back-up’ team! There’s Paul Hartnoll; The Wonder Stuff; Black Grape; Ash; The Bluetones; The House of Love; The Farm; EchoBelly and Mark Gardner and more!

no exception

These ‘big’ Butlins Weekends are  fronted up and formulated by Parent Company, Bourne Leisure – and Shiine is no exception when it comes to offering a good deal indeed. There’s great music – and no night in a soaking wet field!

no tent here!

There’s tip top musical entertainment from big name acts, plenty of bars to enjoy,  some action in pools and games. halls and the like too. Of course, there that warmplace to stay that isn’t a wringing wet tent.

nice..!

The Weekenders are of course, all topped off with a rather nice seaside location too. The location is  – at this time of year it’s true –  somewhat dependent on the probable grey November weather.

alternatives

But it is surely scenic to say to least. That could be said to be an improvement on alternatives – a grey November weekend in say Accrington.. or Harlow… or Dundee… or Gloucester…. or wherever ….except perhaps San Tropez!   I do take your point there and we at Quotrofest always winter in San Tropez with our yacht – its all that Comms and Merchandising Festival Biz we do you know – or we hope to do – as we do every year!

beans in a row!

Shiine is sure to be a cracker … the Bourne Leisure outfit seem to have their ‘beans in a row’ on all this ‘Festival on tap’ stuff. We at QuotroFest mulled over in the office who the person was at Bourne ..who first said… ‘I know a good thing to do with our empty ‘holiday venues’ in the Winter! Why don’t we turn it into Music Festival venues ….and the rest as they say is probably history’

rev-up

When ‘The Big Weekender’ team have recovered from this current Shiine Event, it will be full on for sure with what looks like a busy rest of year for 2016 and an even busier year ahead in 2017 . The whole Bourne Big Weekender operation is certainly it seems continuing to rev up on the previous year’s programme with even more  energetic intensity. Quite a Big Weekender Year will be 2017!

selection

There’s a cracking selection of further Events and Music Festivals whether Bognor, Skegness or Minehead are your ‘near to’ location choice.
