Still more ‘Food for thought’ on the 2017 Festival Scene

All this talk about the Taste of the West here on this excellent blog recently has whetted our appetites here at Quotrofest to chase up for all the news and updates regarding some of the other leading Food Festivals on the schedule for 2017

GBFF – well to the fore!

Leading the way – as they often do – is the Great British Food Festival team – check them out on

These Foodie Extravaganzas promise to be ‘a must’ for Food Festival enthusiasts with all sorts of action going such as a ‘Cake Off’ event which attracted 500 entries last year. Its a GBFF institution this one……and the competition is fierce. You can enter online now!

Yummy ..cake!

No chance for the QuotroFest team who can’t in the main boil an egg! Some Cake tasting would be more like it from our point of view to be fair!

There will also be the every popular GBFF ‘ ‘Man vs Food’ challenges – all about eating the hottest and the biggest and doing it the quickest too.

The 2016 winner was James Shute at the Bowood Festival, who downed 74.5 inches of sausage followed by a pint of cider in 6min 6secs – a record!

So that’s the GGF update for you! We’ve also been checking other 2017 Foodie Festival gigs too – The British Food Festival looks lively in July at The Royal Windsor Racecourse – and a couple of great June Food Festivals, close to where we operate in London and the West – The Cheltenham Food Festival in Gloucestershire – and also The Spirit Summer at London’s Olympia.

More here on all that soon  – don’t you just love it!
