Festival update with www.musicfestivalnews.net

We at QuotroFest have been revving up and checking some likely ‘winners’ on the 2017 Festival and gig scene via our friends at www.musicalfestivalnews.net

We have also been getting some low-down on the potential at the always legendary Glastonbury event – happening this year – but not next!

Head for the beach say www.musicalfestivalnews.net

First to mention is Boardmasters, which runs from Wednesday 9th – Sunday 13th August, with the Fistral Beach Newquay surfing action kicking off from the Wednesday. Tickets here -http://www.musicfestivalnews.net/boardmasters-2017-cinema-club-Jamiroquai

As musicfestivalnews.net reports, Cornwall’s own surf and music festival plays host to Two Door Cinema Club, Jamiroquai and ALT-J. Alongside Slaves, Jake Bugg, Andy C, Patrick Topping and more.

pop duo

Also announced is DJ Roger Sanchez, Becky Hill, TQD (Royal T, DJ Q, Flava D), Theo Kottis, Tom Grennan, Solardo, Royal T, DJ Q, Flava D, Cadenza and pop duo Youngr.

As you know – or not!!! – the whole ‘shebang’ is all about the freedom, adventure and creativity of surfing and music together …and so on … as the sometimes poetical musicfestivalnews.net team quite rightly point out!

Boardmasters was started in 1981 which is a long time ago! Late late parties and a beach to recover on – the team here have this one in their diaries! Mind you, they don’t look that good in shorts let me tell you!

and on the subject of looking good  ….

The lovely ladies of Little Mix are headlining at Greenwich  and you can catch them too ( you should be so lucky!! ) at a good few other venues this Summer as musicfestival news.net excitedly reports.

‘must do’

The Greenwich Music Time concert series, returns to The Old Royal Naval College in London in July. It is now in its fourth year and it’s a ‘must do’ event for sure. Greenwich Music Time transforms The Old Royal Naval College’s riverside location into a 5000-capacity open-air music venue – and splendid it is!

Previously presented shows there are from the likes of Goldfrapp, Jamie Cullum, David Gray, Seal and Tom Jones – can’t say fairer than that now can you? This year’s event runs from July 1st – 7th and additional ‘head-liners’ alongside Little Mix will be announced in due course…… standby!

As musicfestivalnews.net indicates Little Mix have all but ‘invented their own 2017 full festival 2017 season’ – well quite and impressive it is too!

Sheeran in… other ‘names’ likely …no 2018 event!

And so to a Glastonbury update – …2017 is all about Ed Sheeran says musicfestivalnews.net…..

They say – and they know …“When a major British solo artist returns with new music, the attention is huge. Ed Sheeran has shared the track-listing for his forthcoming third studio album Divide. This follows release of the project’s first singles:Castle On The Hill, and Shape Of You.”

‘new music’

Expect to hear Ed Sheeran’s new music at Glastonbury Festival 2017 on the Saturday night, where he takes on the Pyramid Stage’s infamous headline slot. Nice eh?

Not only Sheeran, but also says musicfestival news.net)

Bon Iver, The xx, Lady Gaga….. All are being predicted with Sheeran for Glastonbury 2017! Radiohead are confirmed; Lana del Rey will play Glastonbury 2017 too!

It’s also apparently an undeniable possibility that Robbie Williams could play Glastonbury. He was recently named the most successful UK solo artist of all time…….I’m saying nothing!

….and following previous reports, the next fallow year will take place in 2018 to allow the farm to breathe. Contrary to earlier reports, there are no plans to hold an event at another location in 2018.

The Glastonbury 2017 ticket price is £238 + £5 booking fee per ticket.Children aged 12 and under will be admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket. For more information on Glastonbury 2017 tickets, visit the official website.
