 As the run up to next year’s Spring and Summer Festival season begins to get underway – a call in online to efestivals revealed some a most interesting 2017 Download/ Cornbury Festival duo update

We, at QuotroFest like to have our fingers on the pulse – with an eye to some work action as well as some ‘hot’ Summer entertainment and we noted with interest the news on two contrasting June ‘biggies’ – the legendary Heavy Rock, Download and The Oxfordshire Cornbury ‘family’ Music Festival.

 150 acts

Download – as many may know is diaried for Friday June 9th – June 11th for next year . This is the 15th year of  ‘staple regular’ on the Festival diary, staged of course at Donington Park. Latest news is that there are to be no fewer than 150 different acts  over five stages.

early bird prices

Tickets are for sale now with some early-bird prices ranging from £165.00 – £195.00 depending on whether you want to camp or not. Fans are also being offered a ticket on credit – put down a small deposit and pay 5 monthly payments!


There’s tents for hire a la glamping style at The Park Farm, which also has a shop and even an Eco day Spa! There’s a new VIP camping area in the Metal Meadow and a pop up ‘Hotel’ which includes breakfast in its prices.

The camp site will open the Wednesday June 8th and close on the Monday afterwards. Flags on sticks are banned in the Arena take note and this is not recommended as a weekend-away ‘gig’ for the under fives!

Other attractions and conveniences are shuttle buses and various Markets, including varieties of Food, clothes, jewellery, massages, tatoos, merchandise, souvenirs and more (even chairs!).

Cornbury Swansong

The big news for Cornbury Music Festival is that it will be their ‘swansong’. It will be staged, as always, at the Great Tew Estate in Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.


This is  to be the 14th  and the  ‘final’ Cornbury Festival. It will run from Friday June 7th – Sunday June 9th.

Cornbury has always been a family friendly get-together type event – famous for a mix of the typical Festival favourites and the new off beat act or two. No acts are confirmed yet.


Early-bird tickets have just gone on sale priced at £155.00 for the weekend and £180.00 if you are camping.  There are competitive young people and child prices with under two year olds and disabled carers able to attend free!
